Melanie Cullins serves as Canada’s National Project Coordinator for its associate membership in EUREKA since 2012. She was instrumental in negotiating this membership as well as creating and implementing NRC’s business plan for delivery. Since 2012, Canadian innovators are engaged in over 100 projects with 250 foreign partners valued at over C$250M.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Cullins served as Director of International Programs and Partnership for the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program, Director of International Relations for NRC and as a Business Development Officer with a focus on IP management, licensing, collaboration and commercialization.
Before joining NRC, Ms. Cullins engaged in international business development with Canadian SMEs opening new markets for software system solutions in the areas of public safety and transportation in Europe, South Africa and Asia. She also worked for NCR/AT&T in its then European marketing centre of excellence in London, UK.
Ms. Cullins holds an MA in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, an MBA from Queens’ University and an Honours Degree in Commerce, focused on international business. She is a Certified Management Accountant.
